Water for the Sahel area

The Sahel area, in the middle of Africa, is one of the driest areas of the world. With climate change, these parts get even less water which becomes a big problem for the local population. Life stock dying and no more growth of food sources forces people into cities or leaving their country. Often these people end up in slums or don’t survive.

With this project – Water for Africa – we build water wells in Niger and Chad. These wells pump the water from deep in the ground up into the tanks above, with the help of solar power. One well costs only 6’000.- EUR to build and supplies 500 people per day with fresh water.

Water is life.
